Our Little Mr. Big Stuff has been begging his daddy to take him to work for the last few months. There has been a little "work" outfit and laptop bag laid out on the floor of our little boy's room for weeks and weeks and weeks now. Ha!
So yesterday was the big day! Xavier finally got to have his first official work day at the DHTC. Of course, X made a quick change in his wardrobe plans when he learned he would be taking a truck trip to Wisconsin with his Papa. He was so excited! He was telling people that he is the luckiest boy in the world!
Xavier submitted a uniform request for new work boots around 10:45 p.m. two evenings prior to the big day...Yes, way past his bed time, but he was too excited and did not want to show up ill-equipped to do his job. Little does this kid know... he was born equipped to do this job, it's in his genetic make up.
Hi ho hi ho....it's off to work they go!
Bright and early, with a coffee cup filled with chocolate milk :)

The customary morning goodbyes...Xavier was thrilled to be on the other side of these goodbyes for the day.

Made it to Wisconsin! Xavier said he had to go to the bathroom on the trip, but he waited to ask Papa until he.. "Saw lots of buildings, you know like a city," because he didn't want to be wasting time. They had a long way to go and a short time to get there. Ha! See what I mean about being genetically programed for this stuff. A chip off the old block, right?!

Coffee break, well and ice cream too, of course :) Off Duty
Back at the office working with Daddy.
Loads covered, calling it a night...time to go home!
First day on the job and they have my baby working half days (12 hours)! Somehow, I think he would have loved to stay longer. Daddy reports he had to ask X several times to shut down for the night. Ha!
What a super day in the life of our Little Hummer Trucker...a big THANKS to the Daddy and the Papa for making it so great!
