Party at the Park!

The ballpark that is...
Here are a couple of pics from X's little birthday party with his buddies at the baseball stadium.

The kiddos got to free for all in the inflatables. Way fun!

Mr. Shucks stopped by to play.

Most of the kiddos were thrilled to have Shucks partake in the fun.

Except for Max, who was terrified!

So Max took a long snack break with Daddy and then his "bestest gurl Ally," while the rest of the kids played.
(On a side note, Max has explained to us that Shucks does three things... gives high fives, hugs and scares him. Also he does not like his big baseball head or his tongue that sticks out all the time. Chris and I are starting to wonder if Max is going to require therapy over attending his brother's birthday party, as he has not been able to sleep a full night in his own bed since. Ha!)

When the bouncing was done, the kids filled their bellies with hot dogs, popcorn, chips, Gatorade, cake and ice cream....basically, all things ballpark and birthday party combined. Note: This is a key sequence of events. Reversing the order is not advised!

The party wrapped with the opening of some great gifts from some even better friends!

Good times in the life of a six year old!
(On another side note, X now has enough Nerf guns to form a neighborhood militia.)

Xavier, 6 Year Old Extraordinaire!

Our little, Mr. Big Stuff turned six last weekend!

Six years of living the dream!

We celebrated with family. A little cake, a little ice cream and lots of presents. What more could a boy ask for?

Afterwards we headed out to catch a ball game.

Xavier played it cool when his picture went up on the jumbo tron and the announcer wished him a happy birthday. Ha!

We finished out the night by watching some great fireworks!
I'd say this little goofball got a good start to being an official six year old extraordinaire! Happy Birthday Little Man! We love you!

Neighborhood Backyard Movie Party

Loaded up and heading over to catch the backyard movie....

After securing himself with a glow necklace...X ate like 7 bags of popcorn and a tummy full of candy. He must have known he needed the extra weight, so the bugs would be unable to carry him off. Brilliant strategy if you ask me.

All in all, we had one fabulous and family, friendly evening! Hoping yours was just as fun!

I Figured...

Can't have something like this happen so close to home
without someone we know gettting caught up in it.

My father just called his son-in-law to let him know he was waiting to start the weekend because he is held up in Friday night traffic in Cincinnati! Ha!

Of the 5 common childhood diseases… I think this is like number 437 for us!

Okoboji

We recently took the family truckster on a road trip to the lake...
17 Hummers in total! Whoa!
We had a lovely weekend...
Mocktails for the kiddies and Cocktails for the adults by the pool...Who doesn't love a frosty beverage?!

Enjoying the lake and thinking about fishing...

Fishing in the stocked pond, where the odds of a catch were really working for the wee people on our trip!

Enjoying some water activities with the kiddos.

Arnold's Park...
A little adventure park action!

Thank You Uncle Andrew and Aunt Lynston for taking one for the team, and riding the log ride with the kidlets over and over and over again!

Chris ate this for breakfast...Ooo, yummy!

Apparently!
In Man vs. Food...Man won!

We saw some interesting sights on our road trip through our great state! I think I know a few of this society's members.

Seriously?

This goofball fell asleep like this for over half the drive home. I think I know a society where he would fit right in! Ha!
All in all, it was a perfect summer weekend!
