Random Tidbits

Long time no post, right!
....Here are a few snapshots of what we have been up to these past few days:)
We went to the zoo with my Thursdays. We had a great time, but nearly melted in the heat.

On the zoo train...
Oh my, I am not sure what happened to my hair that day. Max appears to be suffering from the same frizz :)
Max started another season of soccer.
This time Uncle Andrew is the coach. We are loving the football drills he is teaching our budding soccer player. That would be Max and his cousin, Sawyer (in the pink shorts) on the left just standing on their heads...which, by the way, was not what they were instructed to do.
We met the local police dog at the library. Look at Xavier about to give Max a wet willy right in the middle of this presentation. When it comes to bugging on your brother, these two are always right on task!
Took the Hummer Four to a picture show.

Max did his hair all by himself. He only used half a bottle of hair product.
Somewhat of an avant-garde look I think.

We got totally soaked in a sudden downpour just outside the happiest place on earth, Super Target. I didn't even know it rained on that place!
You know it is true what they say, sometimes life is about learning to dance in the rain.

Xavier saved up his quarters to buy his daddy some Lego's to play with on father's day.
I think it was Chris' favorite gift!

We went to another Kernels game and had the best time of course!
I think this was like the 357th baseball game we have watched this season.
I found this little guy at home plate and just had to take him home with me.

We had pizza with our Papa at one of our favorite pizza joints in town. Fab pizza in an even more fab wall to wall, Naugahyde upholstery atmosphere! Does it get any better?
The boys were more than eager to help Papa open the truck books we got for him.

We danced the rockin' robin with the Red Robin at library story time.

X has taken up position as an assistant coach to Max's soccer team. He does his best to play "matchers" with his Uncle Andrew including sunglasses and tucked in t-shirt.

Lastly, we helped Aunt Lynston celebrate her birthday by eating up most of her birthday cake. Good times! So there is the 411 for the past few days! Love you BIG! Happy Thursday afternoon!

From My Porch...

Mr. H and I sat on the back porch and watched the boys play ball the other night.
One of life's sweet, little moments!

X helped Max with his stance.

Side note:
I love Max's outfit! It was like the 17th outfit of the day and he chose it himself. The flip flops with the batting helmet was genius! Combine that with the backward striped shirt and athletic pants...it just puts the ensemble over the top. Love the creativity...and I must give him props for color coordination!
I cherish the three-year-old carefree approach to dressing...it's too darn cute and sure to bring joy!

X talked Max through every play.

...And as any good big brother would do, he gave Max a good chase and "nearly caught" him every time.

...But, always called him safe as he slid into home!

Bound and Determined

...For the pool pass to at least pay for itself this year! One visit down, twelve to go! This may be an attainable goal this year...barring any floods or 50 degree weather in July.

Way to Go Champ!

We had a blast watching X play in his first t-ball tournament this weekend! To sweeten the deal a bit, his little team took the championship! Well done Culver's Blue!

Chris played "line-up" dad for the weekend. Ha! He did a great job wrangling all the little kindergarten boys!

Good game, good game!

Celebrating with friends after the final win!

It's Hummer Hamptons Season

What better way to spend the first day of summer vacation then at the Hummer Hamptons :)

Leaving a Kindergartner, Returning a First Grader

Our little kindergartner happily hopped on the bus Wednesday morning for his last day of school!

And...
he came home that afternoon a first grader...an official big kid of sorts!
Talk about pulling at a Momma's heartstrings...definitely feeling a tug! Ha!
So, my girls and I threw a little, "Welcome to Summer Party" for our "big kids" as they got off the bus.
Very Fun!

....Complete with an ice cream bar including unlimited toppings! Yum!

...And of course there were water balloons and squirt guns!

The kiddos did a little impromptu balloon release. Pretty cute!

Goodbye to a wonderful, magical school year! Hello to an action-packed, fun-filled summer!
P.S. This momma is happy to have her baby back for the summer!
