Wild West Day...

It was Wild West Day for X's kindergarten class. Surprisingly enough he chose to participate... unlike Backwards Day and Hollywood Day for which he opted out of, stating that participation was optional.
He is such a funny, little thing.

He chose his outfit himself and kept it simple....hat and belt buckle.

And boy this kindergartner couldn't have been happier to run off to school sporting his Great Papa's buckle!

And you know what?...This cowboy's momma is thankful for that precious, little moment! Yippe-ki-yi-yay!

What's On My Fridge?

Well this of course!

I love this cute picture X drew for his daddy. What can I say, trucking is in this kid’s blood. He can’t wait to grow up and go to work with his daddy & papa. I wonder who will boss who around?

Good Reads...

A late night with Harold and the Purple Crayon.
Don't you just love when you find a story that is so good you can't put it down!

Cupid's Sweat Shop

X has been busily making valentines for all his little kindergarten friends this week. Look how cute they turned out! He stuck a little note on each one of these saying…“EYE” am glad you’re my friend.
Cute stuff, right!

Wishing you lots of love this Valentine’s Weekend!

My Crime Fighting Sidekick

Guess who I am hanging out with today?

Snow Play

Yesterday was another wintry day in Iowa...this time too wintry to send the kidlets to school.

So the little nuggets and I took a walk.

Our piles of snow are now taller than Max!

Warm wishes to all of you!

Our Saturday

Opened my eyes to this...

and this in our bed this morning! Do you think they are a little excited for Saturday?

It so happens that it was Pancake Saturday in our house. Oh Yummy!  Apparently, it was also Nearly Naked Saturday as well. I promise you these children have lots of nice clothing. They just can't seem to keep it on.

X had his first basketball practice for the season. He put clothes on for this event. Thank goodness! He is the kid in the blurry # 2 jersey.

Of course we had to hit the local Culvers after practice for a little lunch and frozen custard. Max thoroughly enjoyed his scoopie!

Then it was off to the sledding hill.

Last stop before home, the gas station for "Cheep"uccino and hot chocolate and the movie store for videos and Wii games.

All in all, a pretty fun Saturday. This mommy got to sneak out for the evening all by herself. Where did I go? To my weekly vacation spot of course, Target. I made it to the mall too :) Yea! However while I was gone, our two little monkeys nearly drove my sweet husband out of his ever-loving mind! Oh, life with boys!

Another Snowy Morning...

Just another snowy morning here. We got a few fresh inches of the fluffy white stuff last night...to add to our already existing piles and piles of snow. Woohoo!

Look at my cute lawn boy!

Here are the kiddos geared up and waiting for the school bus.

BTW, the snow gear has been a "Bus Stop Must Have" since early December.

X is the littlest one in the gray and black striped hat. Wishing you a warm and happy Tuesday!

Fun Mail

So this cute little ad was in my mailbox the other day…Someone whom I just adore sent it to me suggesting that maybe I had said it. Well, I didn’t write this little ditty, but I am pretty sure I would get along just fine with whoever did!

Boredom Buster for Sub-Zero Temps

Enough said!
